"In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, 'Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths'."

Welcome back, or just "welcome" if it's your first visit. The closer this building gets to completion, the more excited I am getting to be able to attend services in here soon! I think back over the years and reminisce about the wonderful speakers who come to the Mountain, and how very fortunate I am to be able to live close by to be fed by them. The teaching I have sat under has formed me into the Christian I am today, which is probably why I appreciate this place so much.
As things wind down and this "job site" evolves into our new Retreat Center, I pause and thank the Lord for His provision, His protection, and His direction throughout this project. We are called to "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give(ing) thanks to him and praise(ing) his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." (see Psalm 100:4-5). How many of you have been visiting this Mountain for so many years, and have been able to continue that tradition in bringing the next one or even two generations of your family? As we prepare to visit this new facility, may our hearts be filled with gratitude to the Lord for giving us a place like BMCR. A place where we can come, be fed, be filled, , and be healed. May we enter the doors with thanksgiving for all He has done.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

I took a ride up to the Retreat yesterday because I heard a rumor. A rumor that the office staff were now working out of the new building. I had to see for myself. Well, the rumors were correct! I walked into the new lobby and saw much scurrying around. Overnight, much work has been accomplished. The computers and phones were switched over, and I am happy to report that the office staff is now working full-time out of their new office space. They were still setting up desks, bookshelves, and 'stuff', but the phones were ringing and it was "business as usual'! Very shortly, the tremendous task of moving the Bookstore will also happen. Be sure to keep them in prayer so that everything goes smoothly. During my visit they were also working on the black top around the building. It's certainly starting to feel "finished". They will even be doing a first run in the new kitchen this evening with the BMCR staff. Once again, I needed to pause to think about just how far this building has come in the past year and a half. God has been so good, and I'm really anxious to get into that new sanctuary!
Just another reminder, if you haven't sent in a donation to support this new facility, it's still not too late to do so. Any financial help would be greatly appreciated. The "Re-dedication Service" is scheduled for May 26th at 2 p.m., and there will be also be services happening all weekend long (beginning Friday evening). They are planning a praise & worship "Celebration Service" at
7 p.m. on the 26th, also. You can call the office for more information, or visit their website.
